Childrens Hunger Fund
Since 1991, Children’s Hunger Fund has distributed more than $500 million in aid, bringing hope to children in about 70 countries worldwide. Shepherd Church sends a group to help box and organize donations at least once a month. Every year over 200 Shepherd attendees participate.
Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council
Shepherd is the meeting headquarters for the City of Los Angeles Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council.
Los Angeles Unified School District
Shepherd has hosted several different teacher and student summits, such as anti-gang summits.
DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who walk alongside others as they go through one of life’s most difficult experiences. This 14-week class occurs twice a year.
4th of July Spectacular
Is a free, annual community-wide celebration featuring fireworks, musical entertainment, kids’ activities and more. This event hosts more than 50,000 people annually and has received commendation from the City of Los Angeles.
Grief Share
Grief Share is a seminar and support group — a place where people can find help as they grieve. No one should have to be alone as they make the journey through grief.
Children’s Network International
Our Children’s Ministries pack food boxes twice a year to send to the hungry all over the world.
Registrar Recorder- Elections
Shepherd serves as a polling location for each local, statewide and national election.
Recycling Ministry
Recycling Ministry allows people to participate in a fundraising activity for the church while encouraging them to recycle. We have recycled more than $7,000 worth of products.
Adopt-A-Highway /Community Clean-up
Shepherd has “adopted” a local park-and-ride station as part of California’s beautification program and serves in community clean-up.
World Opportunities International
Volunteers help hurting and hungry children and their families physically and spiritually, regardless of race, color, or belief across America and around the world by organizing and preparing donated goods to be distributed both locally and abroad.
Overcomers Outreach
Overcomers uses the biblically-based 12-step format to help support those who have been affected by the abuse of any mood-altering chemical or compulsive behavior.
People Between Jobs
People Between Jobs is a group that teaches people who are currently out of work how to look for, interview for and ultimately obtain a job.
Missionary Supply/White Cross
Shepherd and the community leave their donations of clothes, shoes and accessories for those in need. All donations are sorted for distribution to various locations.
Los Angeles Police Department
We host LAPD anti-gang youth summits and various other LAPD meetings. We also support LAPD’s “S.O.L.I.D.”, a support team for our local Devonshire Division police department.
Los Angeles Mission
Shepherd Church attendees participate in helping the homeless on Skid Row to heal and gain skills so they can enter into a productive life. Throughout the year, approximately 75 people from Shepherd participate in the outreach.
The Treasure Box
The Treasure Box has developed a solution to the high cost of feeding today’s family. It provides families and individuals with a substantial box of grocery store-quality food retailing between $65-100, for just $30 each.
Community Merchant Luncheons
Shepherd hosts periodic merchant luncheons to foster fellowship and community team-building within our neighborhood.

Ventura Rescue Mission
Ventura Rescue Mission serves food to the poor and needy in Ventura County.
San Fernando Rescue Mission
Shepherd members help pass out food in the park outreach and donate items to SFV Rescue Mission’s thrift store, which helps support the ministry financially.
Dream Center
Three Saturdays per month, Shepherd sends a team to the Dream Center to participate in their Adopt-a-Block and homeless outreach. More than 200 people from our congregation participate and serve over 100 poor and needy on a consistent basis.
The Fred Jordan Mission
Volunteers assist in various ways to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the poor and the lost on the streets of Skid Row.
Throne of Grace
Throne of Grace is a confidential ministry that offers 12-week studies designed to assist women dealing with post-abortive trauma, enabling them to seek healing and forgiveness in Christ.
Dream of Destiny
Dream of Destiny develops diversity in churches and colleges and mentors and disciples young adults from diverse and ethnic backgrounds.
Weekend Warriors
Weekend Warriors go out and serve the community by connecting with local projects, such as boxing food to feed low-income families. This is an opportunity for volunteers to share the love of Christ through their acts of service.
Shoes that Fit
Shoes That Fit provides shoes and clothing to children in need through local schools.
Jewish High Holy Days
Shepherd serves as the meeting center for a local Jewish synagogue during the Jewish celebration of High Holy Days.
Blanket Blessings
The Blanket Blessings Ministry distributes handmade flannel blankets to the sick, hurting and lonely in the Los Angeles area and around the world. This ministry has blessed hundreds of people with the love of Christ through thoughtful hands.
American Red Cross
Shepherd is an emergency shelter and resource center for the American Red Cross in the event of a serious natural disaster, such as the 2008 Sesnon fires and the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
Vintage Ministry
Vintage Ministry exists to foster the integration and mobilization of our valued senior adult population into the healthy life of the church by providing opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, evangelism and pastoral care.
Los Angeles Fire Department
We host several different LAFD meetings each year. Shepherd is also happy to serve as a landing station and water refilling station for local emergencies.
